The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science has been the university's strongest research unit for many years. In addition, the Faculty is closely linked with the Institute of Process Engineering, Process Automation and Measurement Technology (IPM) in terms of personnel and content.
We offer small and medium-sized enterprises - as well as large companies - excellent opportunities for cooperative research and development projects and are in contact with a large number of project partners with whom we have cooperated over the years. These are not only concluded with regional but also with internationally renowned companies. Long-standing cooperation partners include Sachsenenergie, Deutsche Bahn, 50hertz, SIEMENS and LEAG.
In addition to the main research areas of the IPM, further research projects are offered in the fields of automation technology, energy technology, communications engineering and computer science.
