For more than half a century, education and research in the fields of electrical engineering and computer science have been at home in Zittau and Görlitz. Today more than ever, these subjects make an essential contribution to the prosperity of Germany and the Upper Lusatia region. In the field of research, the faculty is by far the most successful at the university and has achieved international renown. According to a BMBF study, graduates in computer science, electrical engineering and mechatronics not only have the highest employment rate in Germany, but also top incomes.
Internationality is lived by our students in transnational study programs. Teaching is offered in both German and English and opens up career paths for graduates in industry and research at an international level.
