The Summer Camp of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science has successfully entered its second round.

The summer camp from August 8 to 10, 2024 at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science was the highlight of a student internship lasting several months. Two schoolgirls and eight pupils from the federal states of Berlin, Thuringia, Saxony and Lower Saxony completed the internship together, which gave them an insight into the professional fields of electrical engineering. Before their last stop at the HSZG, webinars and excursions to the Gotha technical college's railroad operations field and the Dresden-Prague new line information center prepared the students extensively.

Four of them will start their dual study program with KIA partner DB InfraGo in Zittau in a few weeks, while a further three participants are also planning to study in Zittau, but will not gain their university entrance qualification until 2025 or 2026.
