IT summer party 2024

Dear students,

at the Department of Computer Science at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, our IT summer party will take place this year on June 13. We want to meet on site and do computer science together.

This year, the focus is on a competitive course in which students can realize their own projects in a playful way. These will be evaluated at the end of the day.

After a topic-related introduction to programming in one of three possible specializations, you will program a mobile robot - Robo-Cup, develop an application for the Internet of Things - IoT-Cup or implement your own small game - Game-Cup.
The event is to be understood as a playful competition that is also about having fun and teamwork. After refreshments, the most interesting projects will be voted on together and the winners of the respective cups will be determined.

We cordially invite all students in grades 10 - 12 to participate!

No previous knowledge is expected of you - curiosity and interest are enough. We will teach you everything you need to know to take part.

We would especially like to motivate female students to take part. In previous years, we have also had many very good female computer scientists with us!

You can register via the link below or by e-mail to by 13.06.2024.

Please also let us know in your registration email which cup you would like to take part in:
Robo-Cup, IoT-Cup or Game-Cup.

Once you have registered, you will receive all the necessary information about the IT Summer Festival 2024 before June 13.

If you have any questions about the IT Summer Festival, please contact us at the e-mail address  will be happy to help you.
