1. polymeric insulating materials in electrical engineering
2. stress on solids and their internal and external interfaces
3. modeling and simulation
4. additive manufacturing in electrical insulation technology
5. applications of the materials in low, medium and high voltage technology with different voltage stresses
The 3rd symposium on polymer insulating materials in electrical engineering will continue the joint exchange on the requirements and developments in the field of electrical insulation technology. On the one hand, additional requirements are being placed on all materials with regard to sustainability, traceability and freedom from labeling. At the same time, electrical insulation materials are becoming increasingly important in the various areas with more stringent requirements, particularly with regard to the efforts of the "All Electric Society". In addition to extended environmental conditions, current developments are focusing on the widespread use of SiC and GaN semiconductors between DC voltage up to higher frequencies of several kHz as well as pulse stress with increasing voltage gradients.
As a further production option, the additive manufacturing of multi-material systems is also advancing in the field of insulation systems, opening up new possibilities.
The symposium on polymer insulating materials is aimed at manufacturers, users, consulting companies and institutions. This symposium will discuss the behavior of polymeric insulating materials, their interfaces and the modeling and property adjustment with fillers.
The symposium offers a platform for the presentation and discussion of current issues from industry and research. The focus will be on three main topics. The presentations and poster contributions serve as impulses for the discussion of current and future challenges and solution approaches. There will also be an opportunity to exchange experiences in an open atmosphere.
