The MEI was founded in 1930 and received the status of a technical university in 2000. In particular, the connection to German universities and colleges has been successfully practiced for decades, so that this year the MPEI is celebrating the 50th anniversary year of the German-Russian relationship with various activities . The Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences can also look back on an already successful cooperation with the Zittau University of Engineering and Zittau University of Technology, which is to be continued with various activities between the departments and faculties.

The delegation trip was thankfully supported by funds from the SMWK (initiative budget).
